IATF 16949:2016 CERTIFICATION
Automotive industries are grown to be one of the largest industry in the world. Thus, the needs to have some rules to make sure the safety and quality of the industries is indispensable. And one of the way to ensure the implementation is with IATF Certification.
IATF is short for International Automotive Task Force, a Quality Management System standard that ensure the implementation of total quality standard to the automotive industry players. Started In 1999 with the previous name, ISO/TS 16949, IATF is a combination of several automotive quality standards such as QS-9000 (USA), AVSQ (Italy), EAQF (France), and VDA 6.1 (Germany), combined with ISO 9001 Quality Management System. At start, ISO/TS 16949 grew and developed with ISO 9001. After several revision in 2002 and 2008, it was decided that ISO/TS 16949 will stand alone as IATF 16949:2016, the one we knew today.
SSWP as a grown automotive industry player, initiated self-declaration of IATF implementation in August 2023. And after several years of learning, adaptation and implementation of IATF Core Tools and Standard Implementations, SSWP were audited by SGS for IATF 16949:2016 Certification. The Audit lasted for 3 months and consisted of 2 stages. The 1st audit was conducted in April 2025 and was consisted of data and documents check by auditors. The 2nd audit was conducted on 7th - 10th July 2025 and was consisted of on-site check and complete document and Core Tools implementation check.
After a long and complete audit check, the final result will be delivered in November 2025. We hope for the best result and we can maintain the implementation of IATF 16949:2016 for the future.
