Build Synergies with Vocational School, PT Sumiden Serasi Wire Products visit to SMK Mitra Industri MM2100

Monday, June 9, 2025, representatives from PT Sumiden Serasi Wire Products visited SMK Mitra Industri MM2100. This is aimed at establishing cooperation with SMK and building synergies between the industry and vocational education, in line with government programs in strengthening links and matches between SMK and the Industry.

Warmly welcomed by teacher representatives, then continued with a procession of welcoming guests from student representatives by performing angklung music performances. The students also delivered yells in several languages: English, Japanese, Mandarin, German, Arabic. This gave a positive impression of the school and the students.

Established in February 2011, SMK Mitra Industri MM2100 is the only school supported by more than 300 companies in the MM2100 Industrial Estate, becoming a connector between the field of education and the industry.

The vision is to become an education and development center that produces students in accordance with industrial needs and entrepreneurial spirit.

There are several majors at SMK Mitra Industri MM2100, namely: Industrial Electronics Engineering, Motorcycle, Electrical Installation, Light Vehicle, Machining, Accounting, Hospitality, Industrial Chemical Engineering (Paint Tech).

Accompanied by Mrs. Puspita & colleagues, company representatives conducted a school tour to directly see various facilities and learning activities at the school. Starting from practical rooms, laboratories, classrooms, hydroponic gardens and other supporting areas.

It was not only the teachers who actively explained during the school tour, but also the students. The students explained clearly about their majors, projects and assignments they were working on. Some departments were also seen preparing for national scale competitions.

In the discussion session, the school explained various programs such as Praktik Kerja Lapangan (PKL), Teaching Factory (TEFA), and a learning system that refers to industry needs. Currently, SMK Mitra Industri is a benchmark for other vocational schools.

SMK Mitra Industri MM2100 uses a national education curriculum that is tailored to the needs of the Industry. Graduates will be channeled to companies, especially in the MM2100 Industrial Estate environment.

With the quality of the school and also the students who made a positive impression, PT Sumiden Serasi Wire Products will further cooperate with SMK Mitra Industri MM2100. And this visit is a positive first step in building real synergy between the field of education and the manufacturing industry.
